Dear Peter Rabbit: A Story With Real Miniature Letters
Published in Hardcover by Frederick Warne & Co (October, 1995)
Author: Beatrix Potter
Average review score:

Peter's review of Dear Peter Rabbit
My 5 year old son enjoys having this book read to him, especially when he pulls the letters out of the envelopes. He enjoys the characters and illustrations and the story itself. I received this book as a gift for my son, but it must have been opened in the store previously. As a result, one of the letters is missing! On the page where Mr. Jeremy Fisher (the frog) is described, there are 2 envelopes. I have the letter that reads as follows:

Mr. Jeremy Fisher Pond House

Mr. Alderman Ptolemy Tortoise

Requests the pleasure of

Mr. Jeremy Fisher's

Company at Dinner

(there will be a snail)

R.S.V.P.

I am looking for the other letter for Jeremy Fisher. Can anybody help me? I can't find the book anywhere, and I am not going to buy another copy just for one letter. Can somebody respond with the text and describe the picture on the letter that I need. I will recreate it on my computer. Thank you very much.

Cute-- but not what is promised
I am not returning this book as it is innovative in it's artistic approach, but these letters were not sent to children. They are letters, very brief ones, that are between characters and are just unintersting. "Dear Mr Owl" I recal one saying, "Please bring back my tail." and it is signed Squirel Nutkin. Maybe I am missing something, but I cannot fathom why the author would send these to her readers. I had anticipated letters that would illuminate her writings!

Deer Talk: Your Guide to Finding, Calling, and Hunting Mule Deer and Whitetails, With Rifle, Bow or Camera

Deer Talk an Infomercial
This book provides no instruction about how to call deer. It is just a bunch of tall tales made up to convince you to buy the authors deer call. You should not have to pay for this book at all. They should pay you to read this infomercial.

deer talkin
this book was a pleasure to read. it is well rounded and informed me of things i was looking to learn. i will definately put the authors experience to work for me.

Harry Potter Manuscript Book

Harry Potter Fan!
In my opinion this book is really bad. It wasn't what I expected. What I like of it, is the picture of Harry Potter that is like the poster of the movie of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It is really bad, don't buy it.

It's just a movie script!
Don't take the advice of the previous reviewer. This isn't a book, it's a movie script.

From reading previous reviews, I can say that person is probably about 11 or 12.

Anyways, it's just as good as the movie, except it's all text!

KJV Pew Bible: Potter Gray
Published in Hardcover by Holman Bible Pub (June, 1999)
Author: Broadman & Holman Publishers

review
My first review was based soley on appearance and strength. I know the KJV Bible and had not read through this particular version yet. But after owning it for some time, I have come across several spelling and gramatical errors in this KJV. In my humble opinion, it is unacceptable and just plain wrong to poorly edit such an important book. I reccomend staying away from this version...

A Great Bible
I just got this Bible today and I really like it. It is small and compact and yet the print is very readable. One great thing is that it does not contain a bunch of index columns and authors' commentaries and their own ideas--it contains only the Holy Scriptures and this is what I have wanted. This is a great volume of scripture at an affordable price. I don't think this Bible should be limited to just the church pews as the title implies. This is a great volume to take anywhere(for travel, home devotions/Bible studies, etc.). Well done.

Mechanics of Fluids
Published in Hardcover by Prentice Hall (25 March, 1997)
Authors: Merle C. Potter, David C. Wiggert, and Midhat Hondzo
Average review score:

Missing vital information
This book is one of the worst textbooks I've had. The example problems do not contain units, and skip vital steps to arriving at the solutions. In lieu of this, the authors have used such statements as, "of course" and "so"-- a true sign of a bad textbook. This one gets sold back at the end of the semester.

It's easy to understand and explain
I used it because I teach in the Santiago MariƱo Politech in Maracay City, but I was surprise that the select problems only have solutions until chapter 8, and I need the rest of the chapter select problems solutions.

Scared Stiff: Tales of Sex and Death
Published in Hardcover by Scream Pr (April, 1987)
Authors: Ramsey Campbell and J. K. Potter
Average review score:

I USUALLY love Ramsey Campbell... but...
I didn't like this book at all! It seemed to be written by a 10 year old. There were lines like "And then I touched her genitals. She liked my touching her genitals. After I touched her genitals, I..."
I dunno... I stopped counting how many times he wrote the word "genitals". Plus, Most of the stories were same-sex erotica. I have nothing against being gay... but I'm not! And, I don't particularly want to read about gay sex. I usually love Ramsey Campbell, but he really lost me on this one.

clever erotic horror anthology
This collection is a combination of a reprint of a previous anthology containing seven repeat tales plus three new short stories released in the nineties and a new afterward. Each tale is well written, cleverly designed and clearly show why Ramsey Campbell is the father of erotic horror, as they all star a perverted individual either as a tormentor or a victim. Not for everyone, Scared Stiff: Tales of Sex And Death consists of ten frightening and horrifying yet erotic somewhat perverted stories at least from the mindset of this middle age female boomer who loves the macabre but is often disgusted by the plots. This anthology provides a voyeur's look into the soul of this award winning horror author great.

Tales of Pet Rabbit His Friends
Published in Hardcover by Chatham River Press (September, 1984)
Authors: Outlet and Beatrix Potter
Average review score:

Aaah!
These stories are NOT what I would have chosen for my 2 year old! They all have something unnecessarily frightening or unpleasant. I skip those parts the best I can when I read it. Unfortunately my child really likes this book.

Contains 13 Stories With Original Illustrations
Contains all the popular Beatrix Potter Stories, plus a few less known. Contents are The Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Tailor of Gloucester, The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin, The Tale of Bejamin Bunny, The Tale of Two Bad Mice, The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, The Pie and the Patty-Pan, The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher, The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit, The Story of Miss Moppet, The Tale of Tom Kitten, The Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck and The Roly-Poly Pudding

The book has two or three original illustrations on each page, so Peter Rabbit only takes 9 pages. A pretty good collection for the price -- though some of these stories are pretty forgettable.

Basic Nursing: Essentials for Practice
Published in Hardcover by Mosby (15 July, 2002)
Authors: Patricia A. Potter, Anne Griffin Perry, and Betty A. Forbes
Average review score:

Author needs to review this book for correctness.
I have just completed a course in Basic Nursing using Potter and Perry's Basic Nursing : Essentials for Practice and used the suggested study guide by Castaldi. I would inform you that we (our class) discovered errors on numerous occassions in the study guide text that need to be addressed/corrected by the author. These primarily pertained to answers for some of the practice questions. The instructors at our school contacted the publisher and were told that they were aware of the situation and attempted to help by posting the corrections on a website. However, this didn't happen before we completed the course. On a positive note I would say that aside from some frustrations I found the study guide to be quite helpful with my studies.
